Turnaround Made As TOL Gases Posts TZS 998 M Profit

TOL Gases, a manufacturer and distributor of industrial and medical gases in Tanzania, posted a TZS 998 million profit after tax in 2013, being a five per cent increase compared with the previous year's. In 2012, the firm registered a TZS 952 million profit. The company also recorded a revenue of TZS 10.8 billion, which was a growth of 13 per cent from TZS 9.5 billion in the 2012 financial year. TOL board chairman Harold Temu, told the shareholders' meeting yesterday that the performance was realised amid many operational challenges without which the company could have done much better
